THE MESSAGE
What's the back story? It's pretty simple ... the band has been performing for years all over Chicago at House of Blues Chicago, Joe's Live & Bub City Rosemont and they have been featured at Joe's on Weed St. "Rooftop Concert Series". For the hootenanny shows the band focuses on performing dance music.
Going back in time, Rev's music roots came from Pikeville, Kentucky, home to spectacular mountain scenery and stars like Loretta Lynn and Chris Stapleton, this classic Kentucky road trip will sing through your memories long after your journey has ended. For country music fans, the hills and hollers surrounding U.S. 23 are hallowed ground. Music and storytelling traditions run deep in this part of Kentucky, which has produced more hit country artists than any other region per capita, including Loretta Lynn, Crystal Gayle, The Judds, Chris Stapleton, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tom T. Hall, Ricky Skaggs, Keith Whitley, Dwight Yoakam, and Patty Loveless.
What is a Hootenanny? A hootenanny is a term that originated in the USA and is used to describe a casual gathering or performance featuring music, often with participants playing acoustic instruments and engaging in communal singing. It's an informal and lively social event where people come together to share music, typically associated with a fun, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere.
Who are the Hootenanny Band musicians? The Hootenanny Band is a musical collective driven by Rev that includes many new and old musician friends. The name reflects the band's style and personality, which is guaranteed to be memorable for the audience.
